Welcome to Acorn Class - EYFS

This term in Acorns class our first topic will be winter. We will be exploring seasonal changes and thinking about what changed we see. We will be discovering the continent of Antartica and the wildlife that live there. We will be finding out about the different habitats and comparing these to the polar regions.

Our Write Stuff text will be a nonfiction book all about penguins. We will then be reading Handa’s surprise.

In maths we will continue to explore numbers to 5 focusing on composition. We will also explore mass and capacity.

In the second half of the term our topic will be Transport. We will think about different modes of transport and how these have changed over time.

Our write stuff text will be All aboard the London bus, followed by Where the wild things are.

In maths we will begin to explore numbers to 10 and 3D shapes.
